Glen Cove man charged with damaging car on LIE entrance ramp

Police ticketed a Glen Cove man who kicked another driver's vehicle during a bout of road rage on an LIE entrance ramp, Nassau County police said.

Carlos Gentilcore, 33, was charged Saturday afternoon with criminal mischief in connection with what happened after a Nov. 25 argument on an entrance ramp to the Long Island Expressway in Jericho, police said.

According to a police statement, after the argument, "Gentilcore kicked the victim's auto, causing several hundred dollars worth of damage."

Detectives tracked down Gentilcore using information provided by the other driver and charged him Saturday.

Gentilcore is to answer the charges at a future court date, police said.

Reached at his home on Saturday night, Gentilcore hung up after denying knowing that the police had charged him with a crime.
