Gunmen rob Radio Shack store, customers

The robbers wore baseball caps, white gloves and sunglasses, police said, and one had a black revolver.

At gunpoint, the two ordered two employees of a Radio Shack store on Old Country Road in Westbury into a back office and onto the floor, binding their hands and feet with zip ties and then robbing the place on Monday night, Nassau County police said. Three customers who entered the store were tied up and robbed at gunpoint.

Police said the robberies took place at about 7:45 p.m. No one was injured.

Police are searching for the two men -- and are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.

Police said the two men, believed to be in their 20s, stole iPhones, iPod Touches, Kindle Fires and Skullcandy headphones from the store.

They also robbed the three customers of their cellphones and cash, police said.

Before fleeing the scene, the two also stole prepaid cellphones, according to police.
