The 2016 Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach will feature three performance jet teams for the first time in the event’s 13-year history, organizers said.

The U.S. Navy Blue Angels, the Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds and the Breitling Performance Jet Team will be among the headliners May 28 and 29 alongside the United States Army Golden Knights Parachute Team.

Organizers say the air show is the most highly attended annual special event on Long Island. More than 325,000 people flocked to the shore to watch this past summer.

George Gorman, deputy regional director on Long Island for the state parks department, said he is thrilled with the 2016 program.

“We have an outstanding schedule this year,” he said. “This is one of the best — if not the best — lineup we have ever had and that’s what draws people. They love to see the air show.”

The event is free after a $10 parking fee, he said. And the show, which is expected to be about five hours long, is jam packed with entertainment.

“We are filled to capacity with the schedule,” he said.

Each team will dazzle spectators with their precision and artistry, he said.

“Every year the performers change their routines,” he said. “You won’t see the exact same performance that the Blue Angels did two years ago. And when they change it, it usually makes it better and more dramatic. Every year I get thrilled because it is different.”
