A Connecticut man who worked as a music teacher in Hicksville has been charged with sexually abusing two students, Nassau police said.

Police said Kenton Burt, 62, sexually abused two female music students between the ages of 9 and 14 on "numerous occasions" at the Burt School of Music, where he was an instructor, between January 2012 and March 2015.

Police said Burt was arrested at the school at 382 Newbridge Rd., on Thursday afternoon without incident. The investigation is continuing.

Burt, of 8 South Rd. in Kent, Connecticut, is charged with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse, police said. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.

Detectives ask anyone who thinks they may have been a victim of Burt's to call the Special Victims Squad at 516-573-4022.
