A Hicksville teenager allegedly held up a 7-Eleven with a rifle-style BB gun Saturday morning before Nassau police officers chased him down, authorities said.
Alfredo Uribe, 16, entered the convenience store at 384 W. John St. in Hicksville just after 5 a.m., walked up to the man working the cash register and pointed the gun at him, demanding cash, police said.
Uribe made off with an undetermined amount of money, cigarettes and cigars, police said. A witness to the robbery then called the police, who arrested Uribe after a short foot chase, authorities said.
All the stolen property was recovered and no one was hurt, police said.
Uribe is charged with robbery, criminal use of a firearm, and criminal possession of stolen property. He is scheduled to be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney.
