Jose Barahona, 18, and Bryan Bonilla, 18, both

Jose Barahona, 18, and Bryan Bonilla, 18, both of Roosevelt, were arrested on Thursday, July 2, 2015, charged with robbery, and are scheduled to be arraigned on Friday at First District Court in Hempstead, police said.

Nassau police said two suspects have been arrested and a third is still at large after the attack and robbery of a teenager in Roosevelt on Thursday afternoon.

Police said the 17-year-old victim was at Henry Street Park at about 2:30 p.m. when he was approached by three males who knocked him to the ground and punched and kicked him. As the victim tried to escape, the attackers surrounded him and took his hat, bicycle and an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

After they fled, the victim, who suffered cuts to his neck and hand during the scuffle, called police, authorities said. A little less than two hours later, police arrested Jose Barahona, 18, at 332 Nassau Rd. at 4:21 p.m. While canvassing the area about an hour later, Bryan Bonilla, 18, was found at Nassau Road and Whitehouse Avenue and arrested, police said. The third suspect has not been found.

Barahona, of 385 Nassau Rd., and Bonilla, of 97 Woods Ave., are each charged with two counts of second-degree robbery and are scheduled to be arraigned on Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
