Nassau police arrested a Queens man Saturday on charges he burglarized three Nassau homes this year.
Kasheem M. Hill, 34 of 12-217 109th Ave., South Ozone Park, was arrested shortly after 5 p.m. and charged with second degree burglary, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance, Nassau police said.
Third Squad detectives said Hill was wanted in connection with three burglaries that occurred in New Hyde Park and Garden City Park.
Police said on Jan. 31, Hill broke into a New Hyde Park home along White Avenue and stole jewelry, cash and personal papers. On Feb. 28, police said he broke into another New Hyde Park home on First Avenue and removed cash and jewelry, and on May 28, he entered a home on Hillside Drive South, Garden City Park, and removed cash and jewelry, police said.
A Third Precinct officer spotted Hill along Jericho Turnpike in Bellerose and arrested him, officials said. The officer found a loaded .45 caliber handgun, a gravity knife and heroin inside Hill's car, police said.
Court records indicate Hill is scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Wednesday.
