The wrong-way driver on the Long Island Expressway, killed Sunday in a head-on crash in Jericho, has been identified as a Flanders man, Nassau County police said Wednesday.

Gustavo Palma, 23, whose 2008 Honda Civic slammed into a 2012 Mercedes-Benz driven by Joe DeGuardia, 49, of Westchester County, was pronounced dead at the scene at Exit 41 of the westbound LIE.

DeGuardia, a boxing promoter, survived the 4:15 a.m. crash.
