Cookie workshop among village's holiday events

The Village of Malverne will host several holiday events during the first week of December, including some for children featuring Santa.

The Malverne Public Library will host a cookie workshop at 11 a.m. today. The cost is $10 per child and includes two cookies. The library is at 61 St. Thomas Place in Malverne.

On Saturday, residents can attend a breakfast with Santa, bowl with Kriss Kringle and watch the holiday lighting ceremony and parade. The festivities begin at 9 a.m., with a Santa breakfast at the Grace Lutheran Church. There will be a second breakfast at 11 a.m. Each breakfast is $16 per person. The church is at 400 Hempstead Ave. in Malverne.

At 12 p.m., Santa will be at the San Dee Lanes to bowl with children 5 and older. The cost is $11 per bowler. The bowling alley is at 342 Hempstead Ave. in Malverne.

At 5 p.m., the village’s holiday lighting and parade will take place in the center of Malverne on Hempstead Avenue.
