Nassau police ask for help with ID of man struck crossing Hicksville road

Nassau County police are seeking the public's help identifying a pedestrian injured in an auto accident in Hicksville Saturday night.

According to detectives, the man was struck about 7 p.m. when he was hit by a 2014 Dodge Ram pickup traveling south on South Broadway at Rave Street.

Police said the victim had no identification and suffered head trauma and internal injuries. He was taken to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, where he is listed in critical but stable condition.

The man is described as Hispanic, 20 to 25 years old with a thin build. He was wearing blue jeans and white sneakers. Detectives said anyone who can identify the victim could call the Second Squad at 516-573-6253.

Police did not identify the pickup's driver, saying no criminality is involved.
