Nassau police said they are searching for an armed man they believe robbed a Hicksville gas station Sunday night.

The robbery occurred at the Applegreen Gas Station, 118 Newbridge Rd., at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Nassau police said.

Police said a man, armed with a handgun, entered the gas station and demanded money from a male employee. The suspect fled on foot with cash, headed west on West Nicholai Street.

Police said no injuries were reported and said anyone with information could call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477.
