Nassau police seek East Meadow bank robber

Nassau police are looking for a lone man who they say robbed an East Meadow bank Monday afternoon.

The suspect entered a Capital One Bank at 2530 Stewart Ave. about 1:39 p.m. and presented a "demand note" to the teller, police said.

The suspect took an "undetermined" amount of cash and fled, police said. Five employees and three customers were in the bank at the time, police said, adding that no one was injured.

Police described the suspect as a man in his mid-30s, standing about 6 feet, 1 inch tall. He was wearing a dark baseball cap, dark T-shirt, navy blue jacket with white stripes and tan pants, police said.
