Nassau police seek Plainview bank robber

Nassau County police are looking for a man who robbed a Plainview bank Thursday morning.

The man, described as between 25 and 30 years old and about 6 feet to 6 feet, 2 inches tall, walked into a TD Bank at 500 Old Country Road and presented a demand note to the teller at about 10:45 a.m., police said.

The robber, who was wearing a dark jacket, a dark bandanna on his head, a white pullover shirt and jeans, fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash, police said. There were four employees and no customers in the bank at the time of the robbery, police said. No one was injured.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the robbery to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477.
