With an increase in the number of pedestrians, particularly teens, who have been killed crossing busy streets in recent years, Nassau created the "Walk Safe" program to educate people about pedestrian safety. On Tuesday, County officials released a video promoting the program, which featured emotional interviews with family members of pedestrians who were killed.
