New Long Island Rail Road timetables that go into effect Monday will affect riders on eight branches.
Because of track maintenance and construction, five eastbound and six westbound trains will be canceled on the Port Washington branch. On weekdays, service will go from half hourly during midday to hourly.
On the Babylon line, track work will also cause seven eastbound trains to terminate at Freeport and five westbound to originate at Freeport. Midday hourly train service at Seaford, Massapequa, Massapequa Park, Amityville, Copiague and Lindenhurst will be hourly.
And on the Long Beach branch, ongoing bridge replacement in Oceanside will mean no train service between Valley Stream and Long Beach for the weekends of March 20-21 and March 27-28 and again on May 1-2 and May 15-16. Buses will replace trains.
