Police: 3 sought in Uniondale home invasion

Police are searching for three armed men who grabbed a woman in a choke hold outside her house in Uniondale on Saturday afternoon, forced her inside and ransacked the home while holding her and three other victims at gunpoint.

The female victim, 23, was not injured in the attack -- and neither were three additional male victims, in their 20s, who police said were inside the home.

Nassau County police said the home invasion occurred on Lenox Avenue at 4:10 p.m.

The three assailants were armed with handguns, police said, and one placed the female victim "in a choke hold" from behind, forcing her into the home. Once inside, police said, the gunmen held the woman and the three male victims at gunpoint while they ransacked the house, stealing cellphones, laptop computers, a PlayStation 3, video games and car keys. The assailants fled when a car pulled into the driveway.

Police said the trio, all believed to be in their 20s, wore black T-shirts, black pants and black sneakers. One is described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 170 pounds with a full beard and a black, wooden-handled revolver. A second is believed to be about 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 150 pounds, also with a wooden-handled black revolver, while the third was 5 feet, 5 inches tall, 140 pounds, with a silver handgun, police said.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
