Police investigate South Farmingdale gas station robbery

Nassau County detectives are investigating the robbery of a South Farmingdale gas station on Sunday night.

The man, with a hand under his black hooded jacket, demanded cash register money of a 57-year-old employee at the Valero gas station, 229 Merritts Rd., at 9:23 p.m., police said in a Monday news release.

After reaching into the register, the robber fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. No injuries were reported.
