Giovanna Panza, 38, and her boyfriend Eric Boesenberg,

Giovanna Panza, 38, and her boyfriend Eric Boesenberg, 52, both of Elmont, were arrested Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, on drug and child endangerment charges for allegedly selling heroin and crack on Cedar Street in Valley Stream numerous times -- sometimes even while Boesenberg held their 3-year-old son in his arms, police said.

An Elmont couple was arrested Wednesday, charged with dealing drugs, police saying that the man twice sold heroin while holding his 3-year-old son in his arms.

Eric Boesenberg, 52, and his girlfriend, Giovanna Panza, 38, both of 115 Terrace Ave., Elmont, were arrested at their home at 9:10 p.m.

Nassau County police said the couple's toddler son, who was home at the time of the arrest, was later released to a family member.

The arrests followed an investigation by detectives from the Major Case Bureau.

Police said that on four separate dates between Sept. 24 and Nov. 2, Boesenberg sold heroin on Cedar Street in Valley Stream -- twice while holding his son during the transactions. Police said Panza, the child's mother, sold crack in front of the house on Sept. 30.

Boesenberg was charged with four counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of unlawful dealing with a child. Panza was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Boesenberg and Panza were arraigned Thursday in First District Court in Hempstead. Bail for was set at $150,000 for Boesenberg and at $75,000 bond or $50,000 cash for Panza. Both were represented by Legal Aid, which does not comment on cases.
