Nassau County First Squad detectives are looking for two men who robbed a Freeport auto-supply store at gunpoint late Monday.

Police said in a news release that two men entered the AutoZone store at 55 E. Merrick Rd. at about 9 p.m., approached two male employees, 19 and 36, and forced them to the floor behind the counter.

The two suspects kicked the two employees, secured one victim with duct tape and ordered the second victim to open the safe before tying him with his own belt and a phone cord, the release said.

The subjects then left in an unknown direction with an unspecified amount of cash.

Neither of the two employees was injured, police said.

Each suspect was described as about 5-foot-9 inches tall. One wore all black, including a ski mask and was armed with a black handgun; the other wore a gray, hooded sweatshirt and had a silver semiautomatic handgun.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All information will be kept confidential.
