Police: Suspects stole phone from 2 teens in Inwood
Nassau County police are seeking two suspects in connection with a Saturday afternoon cellphone robbery from a pair of teenagers in Inwood.
Two 14-year-old males were walking east on Solmon Avenue when they were approached at about 1 p.m. by two unknown males who demanded their cellphone, police said. One suspect reached into both victims' pockets and took a LG model cellphone. Police said the robbers then fled west on Solomon Avenue.
There were no injuries.
One of the suspects was riding a black bicycle with yellow lettering and is described as 16 to 17 years old, 5-foot-10 with a slight build and wearing a black shirt. He has short hair.
The other is described as 6-foot with a medium build. He was wearing a white shirt with black sleeves.
Detectives ask that anyone with information on the incident to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
