A 41-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint by a male acquaintance and his accomplice who forced the victim to withdraw cash from an ATM before also stealing his car Wednesday, police said.
Nassau County police did not identify the victim, but said he was not injured.
The acquaintance then asked the victim to drive him to Davis Street in Roosevelt, where police said a third man got into the car -- and almost immediately placed a handgun to the victim's head.
The suspects then ordered the victim to drive to an ATM, where the victim withdrew $100, police said. Police said the duo then ordered the victim to drive to Hempstead, where they forced him from the vehicle and drove off.
Police described the first subject as a male, about 40 years old with a shaved head, wearing a green T-shirt and tan pants, and the second subject as a male with corn rows or braided hair.
Police ask anyone with information about the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
