Nassau County police and Crime Stoppers are looking for a man who threatened another person before stealing a pocketbook in New Cassel in late March.

Police on Thursday released a video that showed the suspect running at about 4:55 a.m. on March 21, on Prospect Avenue, near the scene of the robbery.

The suspect forcefully approached the victim, "placing the victim in fear" by his actions and words, police said. The victim ran, and the suspect chased and eventually caught up, police said.

After a brief struggle, the subject forcibly stole the victim's pocketbook containing the victim's personal property, according to a news release.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All information will be kept confidential.
