Police: Teen injured in Uniondale shooting

Nassau Police are investigating a shooting in Uniondale that injured a teen early Sunday morning.

First Precinct officers arrived at The Lucky Deli, 939 Nassau Rd. shortly after 1:30 a.m. after receiving notification from the county's ShotSpotter detection system, police said.

Once there, officers learned than an 18-year-old male had been shot in the foot and taken in a private vehicle to a hospital.

Police said a "light colored minivan or SUV was seen leaving the scene with six male suspects," and three .32 caliber shell casings were found at the scene.

Detectives said anyone with information could contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477.
