Two 22-year-old men were arrested Tuesday night after Nassau County police Bureau of Special Operations officers said they "observed what appeared to be a drug transaction" between them in a Jericho parking lot.

Police said they confiscated 30 Adderall pills, a psychostimulant used to combat ADHD, from one suspect, Blaise Bligen of Jackson Avenue, Hempstead - and $120 in cash and five additional pills from the other suspect, Jack Rukab, of Salisbury Park Drive in Westbury.

Both men were arrested and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, while Rukab also was charged with third-degree criminal sale, police said. Both are scheduled for arraignment Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead, police said.

The transaction was at about 9:45 p.m. in the parking lot at Jericho Commons on North Broadway in Jericho, police said.

They said Rukab drove into the lot in a 2010 Honda, got out, approached Bligen, who arrived in a 1994 Ford, and then made the exchange.

It was not immediately clear if officers were there to observe a specific deal or just happened to be in the lot.
