A recently fired employee of a Bellmore veterinarian office who, Nassau police say, returned to the facility and stole money has been charged with burglary.

Taylor A. Vigliotti, 33, entered the South Bellmore Veterinary Group at 6 p.m. Saturday with a key she had taken after she was fired the week before, according to police.

Vigliotti, of 147 Lake Shore Rd. in Ronkonkoma, stole cash from a desk drawer and a safe, police said. She used another key she had taken before her dismissal to open the safe, police said.

Police said the owner of the office, after arriving at work Sunday, watched the burglary on a video surveillance camera and called the authorities.

Police arrested Vigliotti in Wantagh at 4:50 p.m. Sunday.

Vigliotti faces a third degree burglary charge and is to be arraigned Monday at First District Court in Hempstead, police said.
