Pilot Michael Croissant, of upstate Monticello, was arrested Saturday night after he landed a helicopter near Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, where a rave party was being closed down by Nassau County police after about 50 people needed medical attention. Croissant, 44, is charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, and the helicopter was seized. Police had no information as to why Croissant was landing a helicopter there, but they said that he did not secure a safe landing zone ahead of time with police and Coliseum personnel.
