Thieves swipe pizza, phone, cash in Valley Stream robbery

A pizza deliveryman was robbed at knifepoint late Wednesday in Valley Stream by three assailants who stole his money, his cell phone battery, phone SIM card - and even his pizza, police said.

Nassau County police said the deliveryman was making a delivery on Lake Drive South at about 10:15 p.m. Police said two of the assailants grabbed the deliveryman from behind, while the third put a knife to his throat and demanded money.

The trio then rifled the deliveryman's pockets, removing cash, the battery and SIM card, police said.

"The subjects then grabbed the pizza and fled on foot northeast through Hendricks Park," police said in a release.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
