Daniel Pflaumer, 21, of North Bellmore, Kelly Connelly, 20, of Wantagh, and Sean Reilly, 21, of North Bellmore were arrested on robbery and other charges after they robbed a 21-year-old man of Xanax pills while threatening him with a knife in East Meadow, police said.

Two men and a woman were arrested Thursday, charged in connection with a robbery that occurred in East Meadow earlier in the afternoon.

Nassau County police said Sean Reilly, 21, and Daniel Pflaumer, 19, both of North Bellmore, and Kelly Connelly, 20, of Wantagh, robbed a 21-year-old man, who knew them, of Xanax pills while threatening him with a knife -- and threatening to also use a gun, though police said none was displayed.

The robbery took place in a vehicle on Jefferson Street at approximately 3:45 p.m.

Police said that First Precinct officers spotted the suspects' vehicle a short time later on Jerusalem Avenue in North Merrick, where they were arrested. During the arrest, police said officers recovered the pills and a hypodermic needle, as well as a baseball hat belonging to the victim.

All three were charged with first-degree and second-degree robbery, as well as fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. In addition, Reilly is being charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. And Reilly and Connelly also were charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, which police said stemmed from a prior unrelated incident.

The three all are scheduled for arraignment Friday in First District Court in Hempstead.
