Westbury road reopens after crash

A truck crashed into a utility pole, knocking down wires and forcing the closure of Union Avenue in Westbury for about six hours Monday, police said.

Nassau County police said no one was seriously injured in the crash, which closed the road at 7:54 a.m. The road was reopened shortly after 2 p.m.

The closure was near the intersection of Maple Avenue.

Police said no criminality was involved in the crash.
