PHOTOS: Central Islip triple homicide case

On Aug. 11, 2009, the bodies of two sisters and a male friend were found by a crew responding to a report of a burning house on Hickory Street in Central Islip. Each had been shot to death, one of them also strangled with an electrical cord, and then set on fire, authorities say. Two men have been convicted in their torture and deaths, and sentenced to life.
