ALBANY - Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo is launching a new state website to solicit comments and ideas from New Yorkers on how to address the fiscal crises in state and local governments.
Cuomo announced the website, NYcitizenscampaign.com, during visit to Jamestown to launch what he hopes will be a grassroots campaign to reform Albany.
Speaking to a capacity crowd that included high school students, senior citizens, business leaders and elected officials, Cuomo said the "dysfunction, gridlock and corruption" that plagues Albany will only end when residents make it clear that they've had enough.
"You know why it hasn't changed for 20 years?" Cuomo asked the crowd that crammed into the main hall of the Robert H. Jackson Center. "Because you haven't insisted on it." - AP
