13th C.D.: UFOA, Sen. Klein endorse in Rangel-Espaillat race

Endorsements keep rolling along in preparation for the early federal primaries.

The Uniformed Fire Officers Association in NYC is endorsing Rep. Charles Rangel (D-Manhattan) for re-election. “Congressman Rangel has given his entire adult life to his city, his state and his nation,” Captain Alexander Hagan, of the UFOA said Friday in Harlem.

On the other side of the same primary, to be held June 24, Sen. Adriano Espaillat (D-Washington Heights) announced endorsement from Senate Independent Democratic Conference leader Jeffrey Klein (D-Bronx) and Assemb. Mark Gjonaj (D-Bronx).

Is Rangel, committed to one last term, headed for defeat? Not according to what the Congressman has been telling friends.
