Anna Throne-Holst, the Democratic Southampton Town supervisor who's running for Congress, slammed Republican real estate heir Donald Trump, who's running for president, over a "long and troubling history of disparaging and demeaning rhetoric towards women."

She called on her potential rival Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-Shirley), "who has received contributions from Donald Trump and has publicly campaigned with him in the past" to "denounce Trump and his continued comments."

Next year Zeldin, who went to Israel for an official visit on Friday, could face either Throne-Holst or her potential primary rival, David Calone.
