1st S.D.: Maertz blasts Paladino's 'little girl' remarks

Today, Sen. Kenneth LaValle's challenger Jennifer Maertz denounces "sexist comments by gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino, against U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, as evidence he’s unfit for any public office."

Maertz's release:

Maertz made one last call to her opponent to disavow the head of his party’s ticket.

She noted that the failure of her opponent, Ken LaValle, to denounce Paladino once and for all would further serve to empower Paladino and those who would also approach women in such an outrageously disrespectful manner.

“Sen. Gillibrand currently holds a seat once maintained by great leaders including Robert F. Maertz was the first Democratic candidate for state Senate in New York to publicly call on her opponent to disavow Paladino’s candidacy. Despite Paladino’s history of intemperate and disgusting communications, and despite incidents during this campaign such as a threat of violence against a journalist, LaValle has not only refused to distance himself from Paladino but has endorsed him and praised Paladino’s agenda......
