Tim Bishop signs on with D.C. lobbying firm
Former Rep. Tim Bishop has signed on with a new Washington government affairs agency, Envision Strategy, joining a bipartisan group of four longtime Capitol Hill operatives.
Bishop, a Southampton Democrat, said in a release announcing the move that the new lobbying shop will have “an expansive view and proactive style” which “will allow me to continue to work on the issues I care deeply about and make a difference for the people and institutions that are doing good things.”
The firm was co-founded by Brett Heimov, former chief of staff to Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-Manhattan) who has 22 years of Beltway experience, Steve Schultz, a 17-year Capitol veteran who once worked for Sen. Connie Mack (R-Fla.), and David Carroll, an operative with 20 years experience who has worked in Washington and in Albany for State Senate Republicans. Steve Stallmer, who worked for 20 years in Washington and Albany for Rep. Jack Quinn (R-N.Y.) and most recently as chief of staff for Rep. Chris Gibson (R-N.Y.), also is in the firm.
Heimov said Envision Strategies launched in early January and Bishop, who will be working with the group part time, signed on at the end of last month. Among their clients is Home Care Association of New York State.
