In what happens to be a year of resurrection for Republicans in the Nassau legislature, a leader in the last GOP majority, Bruce Blakeman, is gearing up for his own run for a U.S. Senate nomination. LoHud reports that Blakeman says he is "90 percent" toward a decision to jump in. Its report is here. Blakeman has run statewide once before, for comptroller, in 1998.
