Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo and U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara will be in the same courtroom Monday in Albany.

But relax. It’s just for the swearing-in of New York’s new top judge.

Cuomo will speak on behalf of Janet DiFiore, whom he nominated to become chief judge of the Court of Appeals. The event is ceremonial; the state Senate already has confirmed DiFiore, the former Westchester County district attorney.

Bharara will be among the dignitaries on hand. Last month, he cleared the Cuomo administration of interfering with the work of an anti-corruption commission, although he has an ongoing probe into the “Buffalo Billion,” a Cuomo economic development project.
