Democratic State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo was asked yesterday if he thought his proposals such as state-worker wage freezes and tax and spending caps could win over Republican voters, in a week when Democrats plan to nominate him for governor.

“I want support for these positions from all New Yorkers,” he insisted. “I think a hyper-partisan effort, to try to divide this state now by party lines, is a mistake.”
