Now comes word from Albany that Tom DiNapoli, the state comptroller from Nassau, will audit an arm of Attorney General Andrew Cuomo's offfice, the bureau that collects funds for the state. Cuomo has been all over the comptroller's office in his pay-to-play probe mainly focused on the tenure of DiNapoli's ousted successor. Some details are here. People will read into this politically -- the two officials are far from buds -- but the audit may be just what it looks like.
