Asked to guess who might replace him as the hoped-for Republican nominee for U.S. Senate against Kirsten Gillibrand, ex-mayor Rudy Giuliani mentioned two names: ex-Gov. George Pataki and Rep. Peter King (R-Seaford), who has already said he isn't running. King said he was asked to reconsider, and is doing so, but has yet to move off his earlier position. Fuller story here.
