Federal prosecutors  say there was no such thing as a “wall” between Sen. Dean Skelos and clients at Ruskin, Moscou Faltischek, the Uniondale firm that employed him, despite claims to the contrary.

Senate officials and Ruskin have said Skelos, whose corruption trial begins Nov. 16, never got involved with any of the firm’s lobbying efforts for clients, saying there was a “total wall” between the two.

But in pretrial filings, federal prosecutors showed they will strongly challenge that claim, saying he used his elected office to help clients. They alleged: "While employed at the law firm, Dean Skelos repeatedly met with clients of the law firm to discuss legislation."
