We're late posting this one, due to circumstances beyond our control. Responding to Lee Zeldin's blasting earlier today of Sen. Brian Foley (D-Blue Point), center in photo, over the MTA payroll tax, Jim LaCarrubba, Foley's chief of staff, states:
"Voters were outraged in 2008 when they overwhelmingly elected Senator Foley following years of mismanagement and dysfunction brought on by Republican rule. The people behind Mr. Zeldin's extremist campaign are the same partisan Republican bunch who doubled New York State's spending, bankrupted the MTA, and cost this state thousands of jobs. As Senator Foley works to fix the mess he inherited from Mr. Zeldin's supporters, it's no surprise that an out-of-touch, one-issue candidate is slinging mud, hoping to distract from the real work ahead."
