Francis X. Ryan of Point Lookout has landed a job with the New York State Power Authority, which is headed by Nassau’s Richard Kessel.
Ryan, deputy Nassau County executive for public safety under Thomas Suozzi, began work as v.p. for emergency management at the authority’s White Plains office on Jan. 4th, according to agency spokeswoman Christine Pritchard.
Ryan, 58, will be making $155,000 a year, she said. He was paid $142,643 annually under the Suozzi administration.
Ryan, by the way, comes from pioneering political stock. His late mother, Aileen Barlow Ryan, was a state Assembly member from the Bronx back in 1958, when there were only a handful of women in the state legislature.
