More of Paterson's latest remarks on conduct probes:
"My lawyer has advised me not to saying anything with regard to the case. Most investigations do not like the witnesses to discuss the facts of the case, because if a witness discusses the facts of the case publicly, witnesses can hear what one witness says. What they like is for all the witnesses to come in independently so that they can have ... an investigation that's pure in its content. No other witnesses have talked to the press, there's leaks, and nobody knows how accurate they are. And I don't want to add to a difficult situation.
