Indies' Pigeon, Senate's Espada back in glare

A federal probe is reported under way involving two corporate entities -- one created out of Niagara Falls, and the other established in the Bronx – that are said by WCBS and other media to have a tie to both state Sen. Pedro Espada and his $150,000-a-year counsel, the western New York Independence Party honcho Steve Pigeon. Stories from the Buffalo News are linked here and here. In the second story, But Espada is quoted as heatedly denying any link to the Bronx entity.

AG Andrew Cuomo has been probing Espada’s Soundview Health Corp. operation in the city for some time.
