Suffolk Executive Steve Levy put out an email to department heads and division directors and employees last week touting his 116 top accomplishments as county executive over the last eight years.
The 10 page list included freezing county general property taxes for eight years, raising the county bond rating to a record levels, and saving 1,000 environmentally sensitive properties. The list also had an additional 40 other achievements listed by letter, next to some of the ones he numbered. The 10 page email also included a dozen photos of Levy.
But Michael O’Donohoe, a former Conservative lawmaker who served with Levy and is now commssioner of jurors, gibed: “He left out his biggest accomplishment -- turning over his $4 million campaign fund to avoid charges." (O'Donohoe was the judicial facilities authority chairman who had questioned whether the administration gave the authority all records on the ongoing jail project which it was financing).
