LIA's Law expected to introduce Duffy at Suffolk Dem convention

Kevin Law, president of the Long Island Association business group, is expected to introduce Lt. Gov. Robert Duffy at today's state Democratic Party Convention in Melville.

Law's role, revealed by a source familiar with the convention schedule, is part of a tribute to Duffy, who is not seeking re-election.

Law had expressed interest in succeeding Duffy as the running mate to Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo but sources in Albany said another was likely to be chosen today.

Law has worked closely with Duffy on Cuomo's regional economic development councils. Law is co-vice chairman of the Long Island council.
