A holiday message sent out Friday by Nassau’s acting District Attorney Madeline Singas confused some recipients.

The email message was clear: “I want to wish a Happy Passover and Joyful Easter to all those celebrating with friends and family this weekend. Regardless of religion, let us reflect on the universal messages of hope, love and perseverance.”

But the return address for Singas’ campaign committee, Friends of Madeline Singas, wasn’t so clear: The committee gave a post office box in New York, NY, but included the Mineola ZIP code of 11501.

Singas campaign spokesman Isaac Goldberg said the confusion was “just a typo. We're located in Mineola.”

Singas was former District Attorney Kathleen Rice’s top deputy and took over as acting district attorney in January when Rice left for Congress. Singas is seeking to be elected to the district attorney’s job this fall.
