Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, who's running for re-election this year, is due to swing through Nassau County on March 31 to attend the $600-per-head spring dinner of the county Democratic committee -- putting him on an invitation jointly with chairman Jay Jacobs. At the risk of understatement, those two haven't always seen eye to eye.

Retiring Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-Mineola) is to be honored. Nassau DA Kathleen Rice, who served on Cuomo's Moreland Act commission and looks to succeed McCarthy, is expected to be on hand. So the Crest Hollow Country Club in Westbury should be a hall containing multiple agendas that evening.
