Political robo-calls can be annoying.
Or they can break up the day.
A Mineola office worker found this voice mail Monday morning, left at 5:31 p.m. Saturday:
“Hello. I’m a good friend of Linda Briggs, with the Chickasaw, and she’s up for re-election. So I’m calling to see if we can count on your support. We greatly appreciate it. Have a great day. Bye-bye.”
That’s incumbent Linda Briggs of Pickens District Seat 3 in the legislature of the Chickasaw Nation in Oklahoma. She faces challengers Mike Watson and Daniel Worcester in a race where mail ballots will be tallied July 27.
Oklahoma is a 580 area code, far from our 516.
